By Dick Weisinger

2014 Digital States Survey

The Center for Digital Government (CDG) publishes every two years ranks state government on their ability for using digital technologies to improve internal processes and better serve citizens.
The results of the survey are as follows:

A Michigan. Missouri and Utah

A- Connecticut, Georgia, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Virginia

B+ Arkansas, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Indiana, Kentucky, Minnesota, North Dakota, Tennessee, Washington, and West Virginia

B Arizona, Delaware, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New York, Oregon, Texas, and Wisconsin

B- Massachusetts, New Jersey, South Dakota, and Vermont

C+ Illinois, New Mexico, North Carolina, and South Carolina

C Alabama, Florida, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and Wyoming

C- Alaska

Todd Sander, CDG Executive Director, said that “States have made thoughtful, and for the most part, wise decisions on where they invested over the last couple years in particular. They needed to because financial resources were scarce and the competition in the enterprise was high. We’re starting to see that really pay off now.”
