Artificial Intelligence: Chaos at the Speed of Digital

By Dick Weisinger

Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Analytics are all being hyped as must-have technologies for businesses that want to succeed. While there are high rates of adoption of the technologies, that doesn’t necessarily apply to management.

A report from Vuealta and Kyocera Document Solutions found that more than have of business leaders don’t have a good feel for disruptive digital transformation technologies.

A report by New Vantage Partners found that “77% of respondents say that business adoption of big data and AI initiatives continues to represent a challenge for their organizations. This issue, and the low percentage of companies that have achieved data-driven organizations and cultures, suggests the need for a new focus. Respondents clearly say that technology isn’t the problem—people and (to a lesser extent) processes are.”

Ian Stone, CEO of Vuealta , said that “It’s chaos at the speed of the digital era. In fact, the next five years are set to be just as dynamic as the previous ten – filled with challenges and disruption but equally, presenting opportunities for those that navigate the period well. To do so, it is crucial that businesses remain calm, proactive and pragmatic. Control what you can control and make sure you can react quickly to the things you can’t.”
